Venue and Business Contact Terms
Last Updated: July 15, 2026
These terms are subject to change.
These terms apply to venue owners, managers, business operators, or authorized representatives (“Business Users”) who submit information, photos, event details, or other content to Burg Social regarding venues, businesses, or listings (“Business Submissions”).
1. Who May Submit
Business Submissions may be made by venue owners, authorized managers, or designated representatives with authority to act on behalf of the business. By submitting, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to submit the content and grant the rights described here.
2. Launch Coverage Area
Burg Social’s initial launch focuses on venues, businesses, and events located in Vermont. We may accept, defer, or decline Business Submissions for locations outside our current coverage area, and we may expand coverage over time. Submitting information for a location outside Vermont does not obligate Burg Social to publish it.
3. What You May Submit
Business Users may contact or submit content to Burg Social by email, including through the venue and event request instructions, regarding: venue name, address, hours, and contact information; venue descriptions, amenities, official notes, dress code, age policy, cover charge, kitchen hours, happy hour, daily specials, live music/DJ notes, outdoor seating, accessibility notes, and similar details; official photos, logos, or flyers for which you own the rights or have a license; event information for events hosted at the venue; website, menu, or event links; and requests to update or correct a venue listing.
Basic venue info updates and venue-submitted upcoming event information may be submitted for free. All submitted venue fields are optional. You do not need to submit every field or a complete listing to request an update.
4. No Guarantee of Action
Submission of any Business Submission does not guarantee: approval or publication on the Burg Social app; claim approval or verified ownership status; specific ranking, placement, or prominence in search results or discovery features; any specific content display format; impressions, clicks, RSVPs, attendance, admission, sales, safety, event outcomes, or any response from Burg Social.
Burg Social may review, approve, reject, delay, edit, or remove any Business Submission at our sole discretion at any time.
5. Accuracy and Rights
You agree that all Business Submissions are accurate, complete, and not misleading. You represent that you have all necessary rights to any photos, images, logos, or other content you submit, including the right to grant Burg Social a license to use such content. You agree not to submit content that violates third-party intellectual property, privacy, or other rights. Business Users must promptly notify Burg Social if submitted information changes or should be removed.
You are responsible for ensuring that your Business Submissions comply with applicable law, including advertising, licensing, and alcohol-related marketing rules that apply to your business (for example, rules that apply to Vermont alcohol licensees).
6. License to Burg Social
By submitting a Business Submission, you grant Burg Social a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, reproduce, distribute, and use your Business Submissions in connection with operating and promoting the Service and associated venue listings, for as long as the content is active on the platform.
7. Verification of Business Authority
Burg Social may require verification of your authority to submit, correct, claim, or manage a venue listing. Verification of business authority may include review of a business-domain email address, public website or social media evidence, business records, follow-up communications, or other information Burg Social considers appropriate. We reserve the right to reject a claim submission or venue-management request if we cannot verify business authority.
Burg Social may take reasonable steps to confirm that a Business Submission, venue update request, or event submission is coming from the venue, business, or an authorized representative. When practical, requests should come from an email address publicly associated with the venue or business, such as an email address listed on the official website, Google Business Profile, or official social profile.
If a requester uses a generic, personal, or unlisted email address, Burg Social may require another reasonable confirmation method. Examples may include confirmation through the venue’s official website contact form, a call to the public phone number listed for the venue, confirmation from an official venue or business social account, or a temporary verification code or note placed on an official website or official social profile.
Event submissions may be reviewed with lower friction than full venue ownership, or listing-management requests, but event submissions are still subject to review before publication.
Burg Social may reject, delay, decline, remove, or reverse a requested update, event publication, or related action if we cannot reasonably confirm that the request is from the venue, business, or an authorized representative. Authority confirmation is about who is making the request; it does not mean Burg Social has independently verified every venue fact as true, endorsed the business, guaranteed placement, or guaranteed attendance or results.
10. Content Editing and Removal
Burg Social reserves the right to: edit Business Submissions for formatting, accuracy, or compliance; label business-submitted content as “business-submitted” or otherwise distinguish it from organic user content; remove Business Submissions at any time for any reason; and remove or modify listing claims if the business changes ownership or if authority is no longer verified.
11. Third-Party Data
Venue and business information in the Service may also come from third-party data providers (such as Google Maps/Places or others). Burg Social is not responsible for the accuracy of third-party data. Business Users may contact us to request corrections to their listing information.
12. No Employment, Partnership, or Agency
Nothing in these terms creates an employment relationship, partnership, joint venture, franchise, or agency relationship between Burg Social and any Business User.
