Burg helps people discover what is happening nearby. If you run a venue, restaurant, nightlife location, bar, café, entertainment business, or other local business or venue, you can email Burg to update a place, add a missing place, or submit an upcoming event.

Use these email templates for updates or additions. Choose Business or location update if the place already appears on Burg, or Add a place if it does not. Owners, managers, and authorized representatives use the same process.

  • Send the request from an email publicly associated with the applicable business or location.
  • Use the matching template and its required subject line.
  • Replace bracketed placeholders and delete unused fields.
  • Include only the information you want Burg to add, remove, or change.
  • For any addition request, explicitly include the template's agreement to the Venue and Business Contact Terms.

By doing this, it allows Burg Social to confirm that the request is legitimate and connected to the affected business or location, and gives us the information needed to review and fulfill it without unnecessary follow-up. Burg may decline requests that are inaccurate, unsupported, unrelated, or not appropriate for Burg.

Owners, managers, and authorized representatives should use this when a restaurant, nightlife location, bar, café, entertainment business, or other Burg listing already exists and needs information added, removed, or changed.

This template is for an existing Burg listing. You do not need to resend information Burg already has unless it helps identify the listing or process the requested change.

Image-only updates are fine: delete unused fields and attach only the official image(s) you want reviewed. Attach one or more JPG, JPEG, PNG, or WebP files you have rights to provide. Do not send image links, SVGs, PDFs, documents, or ZIP files. Official business images are reviewed by Burg and kept separate from community photos submitted in the app. Burg may deny, edit, or choose which images to publish, including which image appears as the main listing image.

Add a Place to Burg

Burg may also review appropriate publicly available information when creating or confirming the listing. Submission does not guarantee that every venue will be added.

Add an Event

Use this for adding a public event associated with a venue or business.

Send the request from the publicly associated email address of the venue or business connected to the event. Event information should be complete enough to publish without Burg having to request basic missing details.

If you include an image, attach a JPG, JPEG, PNG, or WebP file you have rights to provide. Do not send image links, SVGs, PDFs, documents, or ZIP files. Burg may deny any image that does not fit our Terms or policies.
