This notice explains how the Burg Social website (burgsocial.com) uses cookies and similar browser technologies.

What Cookies and Similar Technologies Are

Cookies are small text files that a website or service can place on your device. Websites may also use related browser technologies such as local storage, session storage, pixels, tags, or scripts to make a site work, remember choices, measure usage, or support security.

Current Website Technologies

As of the last update, the public Burg Social website is a static informational website. The website currently:

Does not set its own cookies.
Does not use local storage, session storage, IndexedDB, or similar browser storage for website features.
Does not include Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google tag, Firebase Web SDK, Firebase Analytics initialization, analytics page-view tracking, analytics event tracking, or analytics consent storage in the website code.
Does not use tracking pixels, advertising cookies, retargeting cookies, cross-site behavioral advertising cookies, or third-party ad-network tags.
Does not include a cookie banner, cookie preference center, Accept button, Reject button, analytics opt-in, analytics opt-out, Google Consent Mode, or stored consent preferences.
Provides free venue update, missing venue, and event addition instructions at burgsocial.com/business. Those business requests are sent by email, not through website forms. Email contents and attachments are not cookies.

The Support page currently provides support contact instructions and email links. Information voluntarily sent to Burg for support, privacy, safety, business, venue, or event requests is handled as described in our Privacy Policy and, where applicable, our Venue and Business Contact Terms. Information you type into an email is not a cookie or browser-storage item.

Hosting and Analytics

Burg is preparing to host the static website through Firebase Hosting. Firebase Hosting delivers website files; it is separate from Google Analytics and does not, by itself, mean that Burg is measuring website visits with Google Analytics.

Burg may use Google Analytics through its Firebase project for aggregate website usage analytics after the required web configuration and Analytics code or tags are implemented and enabled. If enabled, Google Analytics may measure categories such as pages viewed, navigation through the website, general interactions with website features, referral information, browser and device information, and general technical or usage information. Burg does not currently intentionally send support-message contents, email-message contents, venue or event request templates, email addresses, passwords, identity-verification documents, government identification information, precise location, or sensitive personal information to Google Analytics through this website.

Google Analytics for websites can use first-party cookies such as _ga and _ga_<container-id> to distinguish users and persist session state. Because the current website does not include a Google Analytics web implementation, those Analytics cookies are not currently set by Burg’s website code.

Necessary and Optional Technologies

The current website uses ordinary browser behavior and small scripts for page navigation, legacy redirect fallbacks, and Business page copy buttons. Those scripts do not store information in cookies or browser storage.

If Burg later enables optional analytics or other browser storage, this notice will be updated to describe what is used, why it is used, and what choices are available.

Your Choices

Because there is no on-site cookie or analytics preference control right now, browser settings are currently the available way to block or delete cookies for burgsocial.com. Since Burg’s current website code does not set cookies or use browser storage, disabling cookies should not affect the current public website experience.

The website may link to third-party websites, apps, or services. Those third parties operate under their own terms and privacy policies, and may use their own cookies or similar technologies.
